Principal's Message
| “Train every child in the way they should go so that when they are old they will not turn from it.” (Proverbs 22:6). Many metaphors have been used to describe schools and teachers. I like the idea of a Garden as the metaphor for my message. I have used this metaphor before in my previous school, but I feel that it is very appropriate for our school as well. St Joseph’s Institution Junior is a Garden of Passion and Love. The School Leaders, with the support of caring and passionate teachers, staff and various stakeholders, will work closely together to create a loving, caring and creatively landscaped-educational environment, cultivated for our students. Gardeners plant a small seed and nurtures it. They keep it free from weeds, provides sustenance, and gives it access to rays of nurturing. Soon the seeds will grow into beautiful and flourishing plants. All of us here at SJI Junior are gardeners who plant seeds of hope and wisdom in our students. We strongly believe that we will do what it takes to ensure that the seed we plant today will have the moral and ethical values to blossom tomorrow. Ora et Labora! Mr Eric Leong Principal |  | ||||||
| Being an old boy of the school, I am very honoured to be given the opportunity to serve the school. As I have very fond memories of my time as a student of the school, I will do my very best to ensure that the students who journey with us will also have a wonderful school experience. I envision a school of students with smiling faces, infused with the joy of learning and a sense of fellowship; students beaming with confidence, being a part of a safe, caring community of good friends and passionate teachers, protected by God’s love. As caring, loving parents no doubt you understand and share this vision and hope for your children as well.
